1.Anti-inflammatory
GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) will generate an endogenous substance - prostaglandin E1 through physiological and biochemical reactions in the human body. Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) can replace the physiological effects of PGE2 normally produced in the body. However, PGE1 has a stronger smooth muscle relaxation effect than PGE2. Therefore, it is speculated that it will help relieve asthma and lower blood pressure.
2.Relieve premenstrual syndrome
Due to hormonal changes, the exfoliation and bleeding of the endometrium during menstruation will cause an increase in the concentration of prostaglandins, an inflammatory factor in the body. The GLA contained in evening primrose oil can inhibit the increase in the concentration of prostaglandins that cause inflammation, reducing the discomfort of premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
3.Reduce blood clots
Evening primrose oil, like deep-sea fish oil, is a highly polyunsaturated essential fatty acid. During metabolism in the body, it will replace the inflammatory endogenous factors produced by arachidonic acid in the body, such as prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and thrombosane X2 that triggers coagulation reactions. Therefore, in addition to its anti-inflammatory effect, evening primrose oil also has the effect of reducing coagulation reactions and preventing thrombosis.
Notes: Evening Primrose Oil and its preparations are not drugs themselves, and cannot replace the therapeutic effects of drugs, but can only be used for health care.
